Foligno, Umbria is an ancient town in central Italy off the beaten path, but a short train ride from Rome, that is definitely worth visiting. Not all that far from Bologna you'll find the coastal city of Rimini, the birthplace of Frederico Fellini. From August 28 to September 14 it hosts the Sagra Musicale Malestina offering classical music with great performers such as Michael Tilson Thomas. The town of Castelfidardo in The Marches region of central Italy is world famous for its accordians. From September 13th to 23rd it hosts the International Castelfidardo Accordion Festival .
