The riverside city of Jesi and the coastal city of Ancona in the Marches region of central Italy and three neighboring towns host the Pergolesi Spontini Festival 2011 from September 2 until October 2. This festival features the music of the early Eighteenth Century composer Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, but includes works by Bach, Vivaldi, and others.
