November Music Festivals And Concerts

Let's enjoy the Italian Musical Experience this November... There is even a FREE concert.

We start this list with two festivals that began during the month of October, both of which are held in Rome. Two more reasons to vistit Rome in November.

I don't think that I have to introduce Rome. From October 7 to November 30 the Eternal City hosts the RomaEuropa Festival, devoted to music, dance, and theatre. This will give you just one more reason to visit during the "off-season". For more information consult the Italian-language website http://www.teatroecritica.net/2011/06/programma-romaeuropa-festival-2011/ .

But that's not all the music in Rome during the Fall season. From October 26 to November 6 the Eternal City also hosts the Festival Internazionale di Musica e Arte Sacra. Do you need a translation? The performances are held in several Papal Basilicas. For more information consult http://www.festivalmusicaeartesacra.net/en/programm.php .

Taormina Sicily Italy

Taormina Sicily Italy

The town of Taormina on the eastern coast of Sicily (Ionian Sea) has been a tourist magnet since the Nineteenth Century. During the first week of November 6 it hosts the Sicily International Musical Bands and Folk Festival. For more information consult http://kadmusarts.com/festivals/1089.html .

Salerno is a great tourist center on the Amalfi Coast of southern Italy. Bring your wallet; it's worthwhile. On November 11th Tortured Soul presents a concert for 20 Euros. Even better, head up the coast to Naples, where their November 12th concert is FREE. For more information consult http://torturedsoulmusic.com/.
