The seaside resort of Cervia in the central Italian region of Emilia-Romagna boasts some 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) of sandy beaches and a salt museum. On selected Saturdays and Sundays from April 29 to May 27 it hosts the International Guitar Festival "Luigi Legnani in honor of a local boy born towards the end of the Eighteenth Century whom Paganini called the "best guitar player" of the time. Brescia is a city at the foot of the Alps in the Lombardy region of Italy. Bergamo is a medieval walled city. They both have lovely old towns worth visiting. During the month of May and June they jointly host the Festival Pianistico Internazionale di Brescia E Bergamo with concerts almost every night. Many of the concerts are given in one town and repeated in the other on the following evening. Cagliari is the capital of Sardinia, Italy’s second largest island.
