February Music Festivals And Concerts

Let's enjoy the Italian Musical Experience this February...

The port city of Genoa, Liguria provides lots of musical attractions virtually year round. During the month late February to early March the Giovine Orchestra Genovese (Genoa Youth Orchestra)performs four concerts including Gounod's Opera Romeo and Juliet from Febrary 24 to March 4. For more information consult http://liguria.angloinfo.com/information/whatsonevent.asp?event=5070.

The lovely city of San Remo, Liguria is a major tourist destination on the Italian Riviera. The Sanremo Music Festival is Europe's oldest music fesival, starting in 1951. This is the place where many of Italy's top pop music performers made their name. It will run from February 14 to February 18, 2012. I can't think of a better place to celebrate Valentine's Day. Carnevale (also known as Carnival) is a great experience, especially in Italy. Check out our special section at http://www.travelitalytravel.com/Italian_carnivale_season.php . For many jet setters THE CARNIVALE is held in Venice from February 11th through February 21st. Of course not all events are musical but many are. You won't find much free here.
