Malcesine is a small town on beautiful Lake Garda in the Veneto region of northern Italy. This is a summer and a winter resort but I'm sure you'll love spring here as well. I don't think that I need to convince anyone to visit Tuscany's capital Florence in April. The seaside resort of Cervia in the central Italian region of Emilia-Romagna boasts some 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) of sandy beaches and a salt museum. On selected Saturdays and Sundays from April 29 to May 27 it hosts the International Guitar Festival "Luigi Legnani in honor of a local boy born towards the end of the Eighteenth Century whom Paganini called the "best guitar player" of the time.
