April Music Festivals And Concerts

Let's enjoy the Italian Musical Experience this April...

April means springtime in Italy. Here are some of the music festivals and happenings.

Jazz lovers will have lots of reasons to visit the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy from February 28 to May 15th when it hosts the Crossroads 2013 Jazz Festival. There will be 40 evenings of live music all over this loverly region. For more information consult http://www.italia.it/en/news/detail/crossroads-2013.html. and the Italian-language site http://www.crossroads-it.org/eventi.htm#2mar.

I don't think that I need to convince anyone to visit Tuscany's capital Florence in April. But you might want to choose your dates to take part in the 11th Firenze Tango Festival running from April 24 to 28. For more information consult http://www.firenzetangofestival.com/wp/en/

The seaside resort of Cervia in the central Italian region of Emilia-Romagna boasts some 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) of sandy beaches and a salt museum. On selected Saturdays and Sundays from April 28 to May 26 it hosts the International Guitar Festival "Luigi Legnani in honor of a local boy born towards the end of the Eighteenth Century whom Paganini called the "best guitar player" of the time.
