Planning a trip to Italy? Unless you're lucky enough to have family, you'll have to find accomodations. This series of articles focuses on Rome luxury hotels. On the way we describe multiple tourist attractions in the neighborhood. Each article includes beautiful photos of both a tourist attraction and the reviewed luxury hotels. Each hotel mentioned has a live link (we test them just prior to posting) to its English-language website. Keep coming back, we are adding new destinations all the time. Let's find a Termini Station, Rome luxury hotel.
The Termini Station area is located in north central Rome. As you might guess from the name, this tends to be an upscale part of Rome. It includes Rome’s largest public park, Termini Station. Don’t miss the "Giardino del Lago,” an artificial lake with an Ionic temple dedicated to Aesculapius, the god of health. Just viewing this spectacular setting should be good for your health. In the northeastern sector you’ll find the Galleria Borghese, a villa built for Cardinal Borghese in 1615 that somehow seems out of place with vows of poverty. This building hosts a great collection of art and antiques. You’ll need a reservation. For another aspect of Roman life visit the Piazza del Populo (Square of the People), west of the Termini Station and enter the Santa Maria del Populo Church that has a great art collection including a Raphael and two Caravaggios. If this isn’t enough north of the park is the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna with exhibits by so many of the greats. For your convenience we have listed neighborhood hotels in approximate order of cost, starting with the least expensive. We have personally verified all website addresses making sure that they include English-language pages.
